Web Albums

I have started to put together some web albums — remember they are works in progress. Check them out at Julie’s web albums.

Had some fun playing the slots at Diamond Tooth Gertie’s — Gertie, who’d been born with the name, Gertie Lovejoy, had a sparkling smile; courtesy of the diamond she’d placed between her front teeth, hence her chosen name. A dance hall girl by profession, Gertie knew better than anyone else how to persuade the men of the Klondike to to leave the dance halls many nuggets lighter, but smiling. Hi Julie. The pictures you’ve posted are great and I have to say you haven’t changed a bit since I last saw you a gazillion years ago! As you may or may not remember, I spent a summer in Dawson the year after Ed was killed. I was quite a ways out of town, at South Fork, in a log cabin at the end of a long road.
Regarding the Yukon generally, my impression is that its populated by great and self-reliant people and the place is wonderful for getting your life into perspective. I’ll always remember camping out along the Dempster Hwy. and seeing the northern lights in their full glory.
    Best wishes, David T
