Brussels: First Impressions

Le Grand PlaceWhy is it that just about every place I visit, I’d like to live in? Last year, Dawson City seemed such a great option, but now I am falling in love with the capital of Europe — the food, the beer, the language (the French) — can’t understand a word of Flemmish. The flight from Toronto to Amsterdam was relatively short — six hours and from there on it was only twenty minutes to Brussels on the little city hopper. Check out my web album for photos of this latest adventure. Favourite place so far: An old bar in the downtown area with a resident cat and “brown” walls.

I love that people here dine with their pets, if they so wish — we are awfully uptight about things like this in North America.
