Belguim Waffles

Rose and Julie and an old wallOkay, I’ve eaten waffles before — Vancouver has a few street stands and I always thought they were pretty good. UNTIL today. There is almost nothing better than a real belgium waffle — except perhaps two…come to think of it, all of the food here is outstanding. We started off this morning at the local market: flowers, cheese, bread, vegies, meat, jams, jellies and I could go on forever, but it’s almost time for dinner. After buttery croisants, we headed downtown to the antique market where I bought eleven of the most classic 45s known to human kind. Something amazing will be created, not sure what that might be yet. After so much shopping we were hungry again, so back to Mort Subite for steak tartar and beer. Such a perfect day.
