Olympics in Vancouver

It’s funny. I didn’t vote for the Olympics and I’ve been very grumpy about the whole spending orgy and upset when I saw that our government is planning a $10,000,000 dollar cut to the Ministry of Family and Children, BUT, in spite of all of this, I have been having a really great time for the past four or five days. It’s raining here, but that’s to be expected, after all it is winter and just because it snowed last year, doesn’t mean we can count on a two cold winters in a row. It’s actually really comfortable weather for wandering the streets of downtown Vancouver and soaking up the atmosphere of fun, anticipation and excitement. I’ve got Lisa here – of Rose City Journal fame. She got here last night in an RV and brought bourbon from Kentucky and all of her enthusiasm. We’ve got a full schedule of fun booked for the week. This is one of the reasons why I’ve ignored my blog. Gotta go.
