The Western Front

The largest Commomwealth WWI GraveyardYesterday we toured the Western Front starting off in Ypres where we visited the WWI Museum — confirming the senseless loss of life that occured during the “War to end all Wars.” We visited the War Memorial before driving to the German Graveyard where thousands of more boys are interred miles from their homes and families. One graveyard afer another, we trpouped around the countryside bearing witness to the tradgedy that unfolded so many years ago.The German GraveyardIt was a sombering day that only served to confirm my thoughts on the stupidity of war. All I really wanted to do at the end of the day, was to lie down in a dark room and listen to The Final Cut. Instead, we went to The Roi, for kirs and beers and that worked out.
